Arriving is easy using public transport or the city’s comprehensive biking routes.

BY BUS
Nearest bus stops are ‘Rotuaari’ (2112) and ‘Hellaakoski’ (2111).

BY BIKE
Please note that the sidewalk in front of 45 Special is NOT a bike lane.

We suggest parking your bike in the nearest bike racks located on Rotuaari or near Valkea shopping center.

BY CAR
Closest elevators to Kivisydän underground parking lot are in Valkea shopping centre (Isokatu 25) and on Rotuaari (Kirkkokatu 15).

There are a few parking spaces that are free of charge during night time on Isokatu street (towards Heinäpää from us).

Current opening hours are:

WED–THUR, SUN from 18:00 (6PM) to 03:00 (03AM).

FRI–SAT, SUN from 18:00 (6PM) to 04:30 (04:30 AM).

Kitchen closed at 22:00 (10PM) on WED–THUR & SUN. and at 22:30 on FRI & SAT.

Age limit is 19+ for clubbing and 18+ for live concerts

Cloak room service fee is 3 €

Fee is charged at the door with the entrance fee or event ticket. Service fee is charged also if you bought tickets in advance.

All coats, backpacks and other large bags are to be left in the cloakroom during live shows, clubs, events and after 8PM on week days.

Service fee is not charged before cloakroom is opened.

Most concert and event tickets are on sold in advance. You can purchase them directly from 45 Special during opening hours.

Tickets are also sold online by Tiketti at tiketti.fi/en. All tickets sold by Tiketti include a vendor’s service fee.

Tickets booked via Tiketti can be collected from any R-Kioski. This enables using culture benefit vouchers as payment. Read more here.

If an event is sold out, there are no more tickets sold at the door on show day. If there are tickets still left, they are sold starting 8PM in order of arrival.

45 Special concerts mainly start at 21:00 / 9PM unless otherwise informed on our event listing. If there are supporting acts, they will start earlier, mainly at 20.00.

Showtime is an hour later (22:00 / 10PM) during summer months.

Any exceptions are reported in the Events listing on our page, and in the Facebook event.

Taking photos and videos with phones or small cameras is mainly allowed, if you’re not disturbing the performers or other audience members. Do not use flash! 

If videos/photos are not allowed, you will find signs in the venue stating so.

SLR or video cameras are only allowed if you have a permission. All media representatives are asked to apply for accreditation by emailing to toimisto[a]45special.com.

The 45 Special Sunday Jam, which by now is a legendary concept, has been rolling every week since 1990. The Sunday Jam is the most well-known jamming event in the country, and it is not a rare occasion that some of Finland’s most popular and esteemed musicians are seen on the downstairs stage.

The entrance to the Sunday Jam is free of charge, age limit is 19. Jamming starts at 9PM.

As a 45 Special club member you will receive continuous discounts from basic selection drinks and weekend nightclub entrance fees. You are also automatically invited to our annual events hosted only to loyal customers, such as our birthday party in September and summer season star party in May. You may receive additional special offers and invitations by email.

You can book a table by calling or emailing us, or messaging us in Facebook or Instagram. Note that all messages are replied to during office hours on weekdays. If you want to make a reservation for the same day, please call us during opening hours.

Last possible reservation time is 22:00 / 10PM.

If you are running late, please call us. Otherwise your table will be held for 15 min after which time it may be allocated to other customers.

• backpacks or other large bags (to be left in the cloakroom)

Please be prepared to show the contents of your bag to the security personnel when requested.

We follow all restrictions and regulations given by health officials, and maintain proper hygiene in our restaurant.

Remember to take care of yourself and those surrounding you:

Anyone who doesn’t behave in accordance with these principles, can be removed from the premises by our staff or security personnel.

Everybody’s safety is important to us. If you experience or witness inappropriate behaviour, or suspect your or somebody else’s safety is threatened report it to our staff or security personnel immediately.

45 Special is notorious for it’s long and winding stairs…

It is however possible to enter the top floor for events and concerts by using an elevator in the back. There still are a few steps, but our staff will gladly assist. Unfortunately we do not have wheelchair accessible toilet facilities.

Please email us few days before the show at toimisto[a]45special.com and we’ll make sure you can access the venue before others to ensure good visibility to the stage.
